here's an idea for a cool minigame:
1. make a room in a house a shop where you buy a misc item that looks like a ticket or something & have the guy ask if ya wanta play a game--set the price to 50 rupees or something..make a door on the north edge...set the side warp to the overworld
2. make a room above that--put in a bunch of poundable "stakes" & a combo that looks like the other pound combos but is just a regular combo except it has a "hammer" flag over it--set the secret combo to the hammer flag (its one of the "misc" secrets but not sure which one)
3. using combo cycling, you can make a custom shutter...have an open door combo for both left & right parts of the north door in this room & cycle each to the closed left & right parts of the shut door. (note that the dmap type should be dungeon) place flags 16 & 17 over the left & right parts of the door & set their secret combos to left & right open door combos that do not cycle.
4. Set the timer tics to like 1800 (about 30 seconds, at 60 tics a second) and set the side warp to either the entrance screen where you paid, or back to the overworld.
5. To make this harder, you can have the pounded stakes (the ones w/out the hammer flag on them) cycle back to the unpounded stakes, forcing the player to remember which stakes he had already hit.
**You can make a similiar game w/ slash combos & the "sword" flags, where the player has to quickly guess which object to hit with the sword in a short amount of time to gain access to a special item such as a heart container piece or magic container.
