I'm a lucky one and never even had to suffer dialup. I went straight to Road Runner. When the AOL/time warner merger occurred I was afraid I'd be forced to use AOL or find another service (tough choice there :rolleyes: ), but thankfully no such thing has happened and RR has remained relatively good.
