scrolling warps on edges?

On the edges of the overworlds, I want the left side to sidewarp to the right side and vice versa. And the top of the overworld to sidewarp to the bottom. Sort of like a fully rounded world. But once you reach the EDGE of an overworld, even if a sidewarp is in place, it seems I'm stuck there. Yet, when I play Petoe's Ages quest, you reach an edge of the overworld and he manages to enable the sidewarp to another overworld to work. what am I doing wrong?

perhaps when you reach an edge of a dmap, you cannot sidescroll to that same dmap, yet you can warp to other dmaps. I know that the 2nd part of this statement is true because when i have warps set to my dungeon dmap, the entrance screen are sometimes set to the bottom edge of the dmap & you can sidewarp on the bottom to leave the dungeon

i dont know if this would work or not i am going to try it though. you could try an cut the world map down one screen by makeing it a 7x15 instead of a 8x16.
