Photoshop Tuesday 12 09 2003

First of all, congrats to Ganonator, who edged me out of last week's competetion by a mere two votes. :thumbsup:

And now, the results of this week's contest. The theme was "Product Placement in the Wild West." Sadly, there were only two entries.


First, a very special image by DarkPanther reveals that under their gruff exterior, Good, Bad, and Ugly cowboys share a love of technology.

And secondly, this image by theplustwo is some sort of bizarre precursor to those "Calvin Peeing on Logos" stickers.

Also, DarkPanther entered a second image (although it isn't included in the voting) of Clint Eastwood testifying his love of cargo space and room for groceries.

So, as of now, the standings are:

Meh, none of them are too impressive or funny, but DPs first one is the best of the three (despite Clint playing the GBA upside down :tongue:)

I think they're both good. I voted for DarkPanther's because it seems like it would be a little tougher to get it to look like he's holding the phone. Good job both of you though. I should enter one of these. Maybe not this next one. I thought of something, but I wouldn't need to edit anything in the picture.

In case nobody noticed, in my pic John Wayne has a Chevy logo on his hat. I've found that most people don't see it right away.

Nah, I'm no good with Photoshop. The only thing I can do is adjust things already in pictures like color, contrast, etc. I can't put stuff in them.

I usually vote for the entries that are funny and well done (most entries fall into these categories). They get my attention the most.

I would have preferred to vote on DP's second image. So I voted for his first. :shrug: I think it's ironic, that even wild west folks have a cell phone, ... and I don't. :sweat:

I take Photoshop classes. Can't say they're helping anything, because all I know at the moment is/are all the features. :shrug: Doesn't mean I know how to actually get something to look good on it. :sweat:

I just picked up a book (I got it for free) on photoshop, so it's all good.

I voted for DP, because he looks good in leather. I used to love participating in photoshop contests, Liek the ones Eckels used to hold. The puter I have now isnt good enough to do photoshop on anymore tho, suxx0r
