On the back of the GameCube boxes where it say 1-2 plyrs, xx memory, ect... wha does prgressive scan mean?

Most TV's display interlaced pictures. Interlacing is where every other line is drawn in a frame, as opposed to a single frame. The first frame, the odd lines are drawn, the second frame, the even lines are drawn, the third frame, the odd lines are drawn again, and it continues on like that. If you look really closely at a TV, you can see it interlacing. Also, on some old moniters, they displayed 1024x768 by interlacing, so it flickered a lot.

Progressive scan is where they display the entire picture at once, with no interlacing, like a computer moniter.

It has something to do with film to video. Its a DVD thing. Prolly something to do with cutscenes in videogames

It tells about progressive scan here, I think what I thought it was is wrong
