Pols Voice colors

Hi. This is a first-time post for me. I'm trying to work with the colors on my Pols Voices. I remember reading somewhere that the colors for that creature utilize link's colors and I know that his colors are controlled by what ring he's wearing. CSet 6 is the link color CSet. so I customized colors 6, 7 and 8 to color the PVs. I don't want colors 2, 3 and 4 because they aren't right for the creature I am using as the PV. This works fine when I don't have a ring. However, with a ring, the PVs are totally black.

Where does the program draw link's colors from when he is wearing each ring?

It swaps in CSETs from the extra sprite pallete. Lets's see here...

They're all under extra sprite pallete 1.
Blue ring uses cset 6
Red ring uses cset 7
Gold ring uses cset 8

BTW, the next 4 (9-12) are for the game icon when Link has the various rings.

Thank you for such a quick reply. There is still a lot that I need to learn about using ZQuest and I may be posting a lot in the future. I have a very nice older-style quest near completion. Older style with better graphics that I grabbed from various sources.
