Why Do We Mess Up Exams?

A year has 365 days for you to study. After taking away 52 Sundays, there are only 313 days left. There are 50 days in the summer, during which time it is way too hot to work, so there are only 263 days left. We sleep 8 hours a day meaning that, in a year that counts up to 122 days so now we're left with 141 days.
If we fooled around for only 1 hour a day, 15 days are gone, so we are left with 126 days. We spend 2 hours eating each day, 30 days are used in this way in the year, and we are left with 96 days in our year. We spend 1 hour a day speaking to friends and family, which takes away 15 days more and we are left with 81 days. Exams and tests take up at least 35 days in your year; hence you are only left with 46 days.

Taking off approximately 40 days of holidays, you are only left with 6 days. Say you are sick for a minimum of 3 days; you're left with 3 days in the year to study!

Let's say you only go out for 2 days! You are left with 1 day! But
that 1day is your birthday, so... Good luck to everyone on your exams! But if you do horribly, now you know why! It's simply not your fault!

:) Hope that cheers some people up.. sure cheered me up!! :)

You learned to rationalize your faults from the best I take it DT?

 I'm tempted to spoil the joke by pointing out the fallacy, but aaah, that aint no fun, and I've only got one day left for fun after taking out summer, holidays, Sundays, sick days, sleep and all that!

Thanks DT, I needed that! I feel so much better knowing that there are others out there who use up their valuable study time to write up a joke to make other people feel better when they do poorly on an exam.

I'll do it for you :P . The misguided logic is that you count off 8 hours of sleep for every day of the year. However, you also count off 148 24-hour periods seperately(52 sundays+46 remaining days)+50 summer). If you want the logic to be consistent, you only count off 16 hours from each of those 148 days since the eight hours are already counted off. That's 2/3 of 148, which is about 49 days, or 7 weeks. Plenty of time to study for only 35 days worth of tests or exams :P

Nice try though :D
