I am so pissed right now. I bought the first SOCOM a while ago and have been using it perfectly, love it. Today, i rented the second one to try it out before I buy it and come to find out that both my headset *and* my broadband adapter aren't compatible with this game.
That's right, they actually have less compatibility on the second one than the first!
Here's the reason: Both my headset and my adapter aren't official Sony endorsed products. So Sony decided to remove all compatibilty for any other peripheral but officially licensed Sony products. Even though the first one had 100% compatibility across the board.
It's obvious that Sony didn't expect SOCOM to be as big a hit as it is and they thought that making SOCOM 2 with no compatibilty they could force everyone to purchase Sony products.
