This is regarding RPG Maker 2000 for PC. Is there anyway to stop an event from repeating itself? The way I have it is that an NPC gives the hero 10 gold at the end of a conversation, but I can talk to him again and get it over and over. Is there any way to prevent that?

Use a switch. Make one to talk to them the 1st time, afterwards, the switch would be turned off, and they could say something else.

Ahh. I'm still a n3wb with the program, as I just started a couple days ago.

Another question: How do I make something appear in front of an npc, Like an item or a warp? I have looked through all the menus, but I don't see anything related to that.

The tutorials really suck.

I think thats another switch. Have it when you walk over the certain space that the item will appear in front of him, and have a switch off so he cant keep running over the same spot.

Ok, I got them to both work. I've still got one last question and I'll stop bothering you all ;)

How do I make the hero character move across the screen without the keyboard being pressed? Example: Say he walks through a door and into another room. If he goes forward another few steps I want him to move to a certain spot in the room automatically. Is there a way to do this?
