Hmmmmm... just found something interesting a little while ago. I went to a site to download RM2K3 (RPG Maker 2003) and came across another game engine. It's called "Sphere", and the description states that it's pretty much a legal version of RPG Maker. (YES, RPG Maker [any version], is illegal unless you paid for it. And RPG Maker DOES NOT come in English legally!!!) It's a little under a 4-megabyte download, so you can try it without waiting a day for it to download. I haven't found any Resource files yet, but I think that's because it's not well known.
I was thinking... if all your Zelda sprites/quest tiles etc. were uploaded to it you may have a better game engine to run off of. Just a thought. Anyway, the URL is at

Yeah, Sphere is a pretty nifty product. But as for running Zelda off of it, Zelda Classic uses Allegro, a game programming library. Apples and Oranges. It wouldn't be as easy as you think.

Interesting... but I prefer C++ for making games, personally. :kawaii:
