Just how long is a tic? How many tics does it take to equal a second? I'm sorta tired of guessing, and I just wanna know.

Each tic is 1/60 of a second, I believe.

OOOOOH! well that's gonna help tremendously! I thought one tic was one second, or something like that. cool! that'll really help my intro, thanks DN!

It's probably more accurate to say a tic is a single frame, and would be 1/60th of a second if you are running at full speed, 60Hz. Or are tics based on the timer rather than the frame counters? I'll have to check...

I think it's based on the frames. If you disable VSync (causing current ZC to go super fast), then the tic warps take place faster.

Thanks for correcting me, FCF. A tic is 1 frame long, which is, as FCF said, 1/60 of a second if ZC is running at the right speed. :)
