what file should i download to play the original zelda classic? I want the stable version not a beta. and where should i download it from?

You want 1.90 then. The download link on the main page is broken though, so you'll have to get it from another site, such as this one:

You might actually have better luck with the newest beta. It works fine and most of the new quests now use the beta. You can download it at: http://www.casadealphadawg.com/zc/

I will download 1.90 first but if i want to upgrade to a beta I can right? And if i do, do i have to delete 1.90?

You don't need to get rid of 1.90. Just put the new beta in a seperate folder.

Ok i got the download, but know when i try to make a new payer its gives me this error "cannot find first quest"
"cannot find file path:"
"yahomepage\downpartners\Jarred Waerner\1st quest"
.says it can't find the first quest. Also i cant seem to get the midi to work, and yes i go into ag setup.

Quickest solution is to delete the ag.cfg file, then run agsetup followed by zquest. Zelda should run perfectly after that.

fixed that. now i cant give the old woman the piece of parchment i am supposed 2, my left cntl button doesnt work and i cannot change the controls in game. are there 2 different versions of 1.9? I need a windows version i think.

You should be able to change the controls from the menu. That doesn't work for you?

nevermind, I didnt read the message close enough you either press a key or press escape i was reading that you couldnt do it so you press esc

Please don't double post. Use the 'edit' button instead.

And 1.92 beta 183 is pretty stable. You can get it from one of the frozen topics in this forum.

I dont think i double posted. i posted on 2 seperate days. And i wanted one to stand out so the person could find it. Unfortunately they just happened to be next to each other.
