Sometimes, when I download some songs, the beginning is there, but the rest of the song is just a bunch of garbled screeching shit. I thought it was just the song itself, but I'm not so sure anymore, because it seems like every 1/4 songs is like this. Anyone know why this is happening? It's pissing me off!!!

And its not just like 1/4, its more like 3/4 for some songs. Im tryin to find a particular song, but cant, cuz the songs I get are messed up. But i have just given up on that song though.......

Try to find a copy of Weak and Powerless by A Perfect Circle. It took me nearly an hour of downloading.

And you can't find Prince Charming by Metallica cause no one has it. It's mostly about supply and demand, even in the not-so-legal world.

Check the quality on it and see who you are downloading it from - if its the same person. The quality should be at 192.

I hope you're using Kazaa Lite.

It happened to me too. I blame Satan (http://www.riaa.com). It's only on mainstream songs, so I'm not suffering. Or, try DC++.


I believe that swarming downloads (i.e. downloading different parts from different people to speed up downloads) are the cause. People are able to do this only if they all have the same version of a song, which originated from one source. If the songs are the same size and have the same info, it'll download together. When you get a portion of the download from the RIAA, it's messed up, and the remaining portion from the good, decent KaZaA users--who delete the songs when they're messed up--is the music you want to hear.


And in other news, I just downloaded a song for which I have been looking for fully two months.

Yeah, i'm using kazaalite with sharing disabled. It's the only way to really be safe.

I didn't know the RIAA was putting out fake copies of songs. Are they really doing that?

Its like that since a month or two.

When you dl a song, be sure all the users has the same Birthrate, Lenght, Size. If they all match , download it, you will get no problems.
