TRS-80 Tapes

I have a lot of old TRS-80 tapes and i would like to back them up somehow in a way that i could place them on a cd-rom. like recording the audio coming from the tape and then playing that to the trs-80, but i don't know if i can sample the signal fast enough. does anybody know where i could get the info for this?

the tapes were stored on cassette and the computer was made by tandy if this is any help to other members...
