Ok, here's the deal. My amp is all screwed up, and I'm just going to get another one. Are there any really good amps out there? What is the best company/model?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Depends on what you're looking for. If you're willing to shell out some cash, Marshall Amps are really sweet, but if you're more for practicality rather than good tone, Peavey Blazer 158s and Rage 158s are good practice amps. Depends both on cash and style. I'm sure Belderan can expand on this.

I like Crates myself. But Crates are expensive.

Well, once agian, its if you want to use it as a performance amp or practice amp. Pracitce amps are you usually cheaper, and you can get a semi decent pracice Crate amp for 80 to 100 dollars.

Looking more for a performance one that I can play at local places that can't afford their own. My band and I sometimes play at parties and stuff.

Hmm....well Peaveys are good, if you don't have a whole lotta cash, though a Fender Twin Amp would be a dream

Well, I've been looking around, and I think I am going to get a Fender Frontman 25R. I guess those are pretty good, but maybe I'm wrong?

Fender all the way. If you want sweet tone and high quality, get a Fender. If you want raunchy rock tones for metal, get a Marshall. But for great sounding, sweet tone, get a Fender.

I've owned over $2400 in Fender amps over the course of my life.:)
