Best Prime Time Police Drama

I love prime time police dramas. They are some of my favorite things to watch. My favorite of these is Lawn and Order, with NYPB Blue in a close second. Just wanting to find out the rest of you guys favorites.

None of the above, thanks. Cop shows don't appeal to me. I'm sure they are good in their own right, but I'd rather watch anything else. Ditto for doctor shows. And of course, "reality" TV is junk... so you can begin to understand why I cancelled my cable.

Seasons 1-4 of the X-Files, albeit not entirely "Police". Reno 911 is pretty funny at times as well.

I like this show on FX called The Shield that I've seen a few times.

NYPD Blue is my favorite one on the list though.

I agree with DT, CSI all the way! You also forgot Without A Trace, whiich is pretty good.

BTW, are you talking about the original Law and Order? there's about 3 new ones now aside from the original.

Can you really call Reno 911 a police drama? It's more like jackass and cops put together (more of the former)

It was Desperado, in the bedroom, with the clit tickler!!!! The only show that I watch that could even be considered a cop show is X-Files.

Ya, I know there are spin offs of Law & Order, with Special Victims Uit and also Criminal Intent, both of which kick major ass, and also CSI: Miami. I basically wanted to go with the top 3 rated and the top 3 most well known, *shrugs* There are alot of other good shows as well: Crossing Jordan, 3rd Watch, Without a Trace, shows such as that.
