Snopes.com (http://www.snopes.com/photos/lioncut.asp) has those very pictures. Apparently people think they look fake.
Two of my furriest cats have also had that cut, minus the puff at the end of the tail, at one time or another. It really is amazing how much smaller they look without all the fur.
