Secret book in mario sunshine

i found a secret book in mario sunshine! first, go into noki bay and do the ed coins in a bottle episode. go into the bottom of the bottle and patrol the outer part of the thing on the bottom for 2 notches. the left one will have nothing in it, but the right one has a door. i can't figure how to open it though. i looked on the other side by pressing Y and looking around and i found a book! has anyone else found anything like this?!

Old, old news, interesting though. People have tried and tried to do something with it and it doesn't do anything. The most common theory is that it is just leftover from a previous design of that level.
