Make your GBA a videophone! (http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/fun.games/09/14/japan.gameboy.ap/index.html)

$110... less than an N-gage (even witht he GBS system). And I bet it works better too (see http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3?date=2003-05-19&res=l )

N-Gage was the first thing that crossed my mind too. I guess this is Nintendo's first 'response' to the N-Gage.

Is the N-Gage being released in Japan, by the way? Hopefully, once the N-Gage bombs here, it won't make it overseas.

Seriously...I'm not 'hoping the N-Gage bombs, even though I have a nagging feeling that it might do well in the back of my mind' like I had with the Xbox. This is 'there is no way in hell any sane person would buy an N-Gage'. Mostly because I haven't seen any support for it...at all. If a few people started becoming excited about it, I might get worried. But Nintendo has this market on lockdown...at least until the PSP shows up.

Well considering to play a game on the N-Gage you have to:

a) take off the battery cover
b) take out the batteries
c) put the game in
d) replace the batteries
e) put the cover back on

I don't see how anyone could put up with it. Plus it looks like a big taco when you try to use it as a phone. Also, there's no volume knob! You have to change the volume in the software. There are many other quirks too that would sicken me. Check it out: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?section_name=new&aid=2233

I'm still convinced N-Gage is gonna bomb, bad. I still pity anyone who plans to buy it.

As for the GBA videophone, I'd buy it if I had a working GBA -_-'

The gay thing is that both people need EVERYTHING to even dial. Why even put it in the news though? To show that Japan gets this and we don't...bleh...
