Pictures of Mars taken with our digital camera

Last night I decided to try to get pictures of Mars while I still had the chance. And guess what? I succeeded.

Taken just a few minutes ago. Tonight, I realized that our camera had much higher picture resolutions than I was using the night before, so I tried again. I got a much bigger picture. This was cropped from a 2048x1536 picture.

Our camera only has 6x percision digital zoom. The pictures aren't too impressive, but I'm amazed I could get such good ones with just a digital camera.

pretty good zoom for a regular camera... i couldnt take a pic like that with my camera...

I see Mars in the sky every night, however without a good camera nor a telescope, a little red pinprick is all I have.

say, see if you could hook up an optical lens on the camera's outside aperature, and then you should get a clearer shot WITHOUT using digital zoom because digital zoom always cruds up the image.
