bombing overworld wall shows green combo

No matter how I set this up it won't pick up the combo, is this a bug?

I set the #11 superbomb flag and set the combo to a cave2 tile and I get a green square

I set it to regular bomb and get a green square even though the cave2 tile is in.

I use flag 16 and double flag the bomb and get a green tile

I use bomb flag and stair combo and get a green flag...

Is this a bug or a brain fart on my part?

I believe it's a brain fart. I've never had this kind of problem with those versions. How to fix the problem though I don't know, sorry. =/ I'm having a brain fart of my own today.

have you bombed any mountain wall tiles on the overworld?

It should just be a matter of placing the flag and the secret combo, but it won't work


EDIT UPDATE

I had to put the combo in BOTH secret combo slots to get it to work.....

did you set the undercombo? if not, use the undercombo as the cave opening.
