Question...does the 3 or 6 triforce piece rule affect anything other than the graphics? specifically...if i have that rule checked, does it change the way the level 9 entrance room type operates...(only need 3 pieces of the triforce to get by that room, for instance)?

yes - if you have that rule checked, you only need 6 pieces to get into the level 9 entrance. If you have 'big triforce pieces' checked, you only need 3.

What if you have Big Triforce checked but not 3 or 6. How many does it take then?

If you don't have 3 of 6 pieces checked, but you have Big Triforce Pieces checked, you only need 4.
