Yeah, you heard me right. I'm in the market for a good video card for some hardcore 3-d Gaming. The one i have now cost me about 15 bucks, and i'm really seeing the difference - mine runs like cinema, and my roomate's runs like real time. Quite a difference, anyway :D

What are some of the best ones that are less than $100 that do everything? I have heard about Radeon, GeForce, etc, but I'd like some true gamers to tell me what to get

Thanks guys

I found a pretty good one at newegg.com (good site):

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?DEPA=0&order=PRICE&submit=Go&description=video%2Ccards&searchdepa=0&page=4

Look for the one that's $94.99. I'd buy it myself if I was in the market for a new video card.

Yeah, but you're not gonna find a Radeon 9700 or 9800 for $100 or less.

This is about the best I saw:

If you don't mind going over just a little:
http://www.micropro.com/item.htm?item_id=VCCT4200-8X-128

Or there's the 64MB version, $30 less:

As long as you don't mind that they're not major brand names...

I have heard the GeForce4 - MX series is a lot lesser in quality. i heard possibly be a 'ti' series would be better.

btw, i plan to do all of my shopping off ebay, so the price will definitely be better.

A GF4MX is basically just a faster GF3. So, yeah, they can't compare to a real GF4, but they're not necessarily too awful.
eBay though...
You're very unlikely to get these for under $70, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to try:

As for GeForces, just search for "GeForce" and a whole bunch of them come up. There are quite a few FX's for about seventy. The Ti's are cheaper.

When I had to rebuild my PC I got a radeom 7500 because it was cheap. It fryed in 3 months time.
I just reacently replaced it with a GF4 mx440.
Not a bad card, got it from Newegg.
Bad part is by accedent I ordered a card for the PCI slot.
Even if you have to spend a few extra $ get one for the AGP slot it is deffenitly worth it.

I would reccomend at least a gf4 ti 4200. If you are going on ebay it shouldn't be very difficult to find one in your price range. These cards will allow you to run almost any game as long as you arent a stickler for flashy effects. And you are right in choosing not to get a gf4mx, they are pretty crappy.
