This is my plans for my upcoming quest; The last dimension. There might, however, be some changes, although, this is what I am planning for the moment:

*Dungeons: At least 9. But there will probably be at least one more dungeon after that. Mini dungeons, however, there will be many.

*Overworlds: Right now, I am working on four different overworlds. But there will be one half overworld that is part of a dungeon. I am planning on another overworld too. But it will probably not be a full map overworld.

*Caves: There are already a lot of them, but there will definately be a lot more of them. I am talking about both larger and smaller, one-screen caves.

*Custom bosses: When writing this, one is finished. But I am working on three more. I am planning to do a custom boss in Levels 3, 5-8 and if the last one will be in the ninth dungeon, I will make that a custom boss. Definately. I will also make at least one or two different custom bosses that will not be found in the dungeons.

*Puzzles, tricks: I am working on many, and I have also made some already. It will be many tricks in the quest. And of course puzzles. By that I mean both block-puzzles, and also different "hard to solve" things. You might know what I mean.

This quest will be, if you haven't figured already, a long quest. With the minimum of four and a half overworld and at least nine dungeons, it won't be completed in a day. That is also a reason that the quest might not be finished in a while. Even though you have finished the last level, there will be a lot more to do.

*Intro, ending and other sequences: I have started on the intro already, and I will also, probably make a pretty cool mid-game sequence. There will also be smaller sequences throughout the quest. I am planning to do a lot of sequences near the end of the quest, and also a massive ending.

Due to other Zelda classic projects, and of course, other things like school and.... life (!), will make the delay on this one quite long. Sorry.

I prefer to keep the progress a secret.... For now.

And now: Screenshots!

I WANT A DEMO NOW! :D No, really, that quest looks good! When do you think a demo will be in the works?

And where did you get those diagonal water tiles?

The lava and jungle screenshot are screwed up....

Nope. Sorry, I don't think I will make a demo. But I will make a full version, I suppose that's better.

Which water tiles?

Oh. In the lower left screenshot, with the tide on the left side of the screen, there's a diagonal one. Normally, it's just the .. well.. I'll show you.

All of those letters equal a water tile of some sort. The - is empty though. It doesn't matter. The O's are just the water tiles on the sides, with no real special characteristics, like flat shores, plain and unfaltered. The X's are the corner pieces. The D's are the tiles I'm talking about, the ones where the curve up and around the sand. The corners are water that curves around the sand, while the D is sand that curves around water. I hope you know what I mean.

Oh, yes. Well, they can be found in that newfirst new tileset.... Or whatever it's called (!). Or the 182/180 test quest.

I can put the Pure palette tiles (recolored by me) here on monday. If I remember.

Oh! Thank you demimore. :) Let me tell you, that lower left screenshot is really impressive. Oh yeah.

Well, that's the one I like the most outta these.

Wow, that's a nice log house you have up there. Where did you get it?

Hmm.... I dunno for sure. I had something in my ZC folder and then I took it from there. It was extremely hard to recolor it. I had to work with it in Paint for a really long time. I have another, similiar house to that one in the quest too, but it is much nicer, and larger.

Oops.... I forgot to bring those water tiles today too. Tomorrow I will NOT FORGET!

Thank you Demimore! :kawaii: :D It's very nice of you!

Of course, wouldn't it also be possible to construct a square of blue water with the transparency set on the upper right corner, and paste it on a layer above that water, so it would look like that? It would be much less trouble, I think.

... Oh, and BTw, I have absolutely no complaints about these. These are, in virtually every way, perfect, down to their very core. If that doesn't make you happy, nothing will.

Well, the log house came from me. A while back I posted a couple of screen shots of The Revenge DX at PZC and here. I looked for the topics, but they have been pruned. Anyway, this is a perfect example as to why I don't show screen shots anymore. And its because some of you guys take tiles that I made and never mention a word to me about you wanting to use them or even giving me credit when you post my tiles in your screen shots.

I would prefer you not using the log house. But there is honestly nothing I can do since its out of my hands now.

Yeah, I think it's kinda rude to do that. I mean, the absolute least you can do is say that they came from Prince. Besides, what harm can it do? :eyebrow: It's your quest, but it's his tiles. You're showing off his tiles in your quest? Seems rather.. odd..

EDIT: I mean that in a nice way. :)

EDIT 2: BTW, Demimore, would you like to use a character text outline? I mean, a shaded border that you can put behind your text in houses instead of making the floor black? It looks just as good, maybe even better! I'll give 'em to you soon. Or, just open up the blade of Ages Demo you hopefully got, and they should be on page 2. (Maybe 1.) Under the Ganon piggy tiles. The password is sanctuary.

.. yes, if you saw this, you can open it up too. :eyebrow:

Ah, well, sorry Prince. I didn't know about that. I'll do something about this.
No, sorry, I don't want to use text borders, my brother tells me to do it too. But I DON'T WANNA! It takes too long, I'm lazy about these things. Sorry. Well, if you do that layer thingy, it will look bad. Plus, the NF combo is in the wrong order. But mine is completely Purified. I, dammit, forgot those tiles today too!! But tommorow!! Nope. I don't have your quest. I can't seem to get it in any way.... Again, Prince, if you let me use them (or at least modify them really, really much), I'll give you much credit in the readme, (or, maybe novel) that is the manual to this quest.

We're all showing off tiles from about fifty dozen people in our quests. Start with the folks from ZC, then count all the artists who worked on the original gameboy and SNES graphics on which all of this stuff is based... It's a communal system. There is no protected copyright interest in our little community, because without money transactions, there's nothing to protect. Once you draw something and release it, it's a contribution to the communal pot of graphics. Don't feel guilty about using someone else's graphics. If you stolethem somehow, like by hacking up their game or computer, then yea, feel guilty for that ACT. But don't feel guilty about using graphics.

Hooray socailism!

Well, you are actually right. But you can still feel bad about a thing, however, I AM aware of that I can use anyone's ZC things without doubt.... But well, you know how it is.

The ultimate complement to someones work is for someone else to take and use it, but I would have to respect Princes wishes and use another house.

No, sorry, I don't want to use text borders, my brother tells me to do it too. But I DON'T WANNA! It takes too long, I'm lazy about these things. Sorry. Well, if you do that layer thingy, it will look bad. And it doesn't look bad to have the entire back of the house's floor missing? ;) Heh. I'm just kidding with ya Demimore. But I will try to get you addicted to transparent layered text backgrounds. ;) They're easy to use, and somehow fun, because you know you've done something easy, but without any work. :shy:

Besides, all you need is a single color. You can use a completely black setup for it, and make it transparent, and believe me, it'll work all the same. You can just put it on screen 80 of map 1 for easy reference, because let's be honest. Not many people use screen 80 any more. ;)

And I don't either.

Nope. sorry. I hate transparent layers ZC is still not good enough to use them (screwed up colors, I tell ya)! So there will be no .... whatever it's called.
