Picasso once said that he wished that he could draw like a child. Think about it when you are a kid you are a clean slate. It's before the societies rules and constrictions start to take effect. When you are drawing as a kid you draw what you see and no more. Sure it's incomplete and lacks detail, but so is the child's brain at the time. The same goes with other types of imagination.
