Why do some people wear combs and others do not?

I'm in the library sitting across from a guy wearing one of those cheap black pocket combs as an "accessory." What's up with that? It looks like it got stuck in there while they were sleeping on the floor or something.

I'm here in my local library, where having fun isn't hard if you've got a library card, and this guy next to me doesn't have one of those really expensive accessory combs in his hair, I mean what is the deal with that?
