Now, who ever said playing games are harmful to your health. The door can swing both ways, sucka!

Ehh, I don't see the big deal. If he had been drinking a glass of Hot Chocolate the headlines wouldn't read "drinking Cocoa saves lives!". It is cool that he saved his house and all, I just don't see how him playing computer games is that special.

I bet he was really looking at porn and just said he was playing DAoC. And anyone who's played DAoC knows that it is too boring to actually play for that long. The story seems suspicious.

I bet it would.

Although I do agree it wasn't necessarily his playing games that saved everyone, just his being awake, I bet he wouldn't have been awake if he wasn't on his computer.:p

They give you clothes if their games save your lif? Cool!:)

Because of the bad publicity gaming has gotten in the press, particularly MMORPGs. Evidently, staying up into the early hours to play a game is seen as a kind of mental illness, a sign of depression or serious addiction. That people were saved as a result of this behavior is what is seen as special.
