What's wrong with people these days? Why do they kill themselves for hardly any reason at all? It's just stupid! What has come over us? If things like this keep up, we're all gonna be extinct because of chatrooms and drugs.

People are too greedy now. They'll find some way to get money even if it kills other people.

There's nothing wrong with this at all, Daarkseid. This kid will land top spot for the Darwin Awards... people like this need to be elminated from society, and the kid was smart enough to do it himself, while bringing down other dolts such as the dealer.

1st of all let me say hello to you all once again.

2nd I wanna say that i just heard about this 2 days ago from here while I was randomly browsing. This strikes me odd since it happened almost a month ago and happened on the irc network that i frequent. But any way since seeing it here and reading that chat log (btw this post is now linked from that page) I started to do a litte research about it.

The first thing i though was that the whole log was fake. Sombody heard it on the news and made it up. But it has been proven that the chat log was real and that the the irc guy was the real guy. However the chat log is only as real as irc and ppl are. The guy that he says sold him the shrooms was not him. That person (nick) does run the channel #drugs but as of yet has had no involvement. Another thing was what happened in the video, that was not something caused directly and maybe not at all by shrooms, other then him almost tripping when he jump on the cruser. Also in chat he waws gonna kill himself not go vandilizing things and attacking the cops. One of the ppl in that chat who has admitted some guilt feelings now knew the kid personally. He claims to have hooked the kid up with the dealer. He also claimed the kid was on PCP fomr the same guy. This is possible being that there is a gap in the posted chat log. The kid did have mental problems acorrding to ppl that had known him, irc and real life. Also his father admitted that he was a recoverd user but had a reputation. Not that I belive any of these to be excuses but they have to be taken into consideration. And as fdar as Darwin Awards...........well those should go to the idiots that were provoking him, Even if he was just seeking attention you NEVER tell some fine do it. And you had that one ass that i wont metion his name telling the kid to do it on cam. So the way i see it is this. #1 the kid had some problems (weather they were average or not). #2 Shrooms didnt ave anything to do with it. PCP did. PCP seriously distorts your thinking. Ibelive thats where the sudden vandalizing came from and the cop attack. Hopefully those ppl didnt really want him to do it but while he was on PCP ppls words and actions are a whole different thing.

Well I had planned on explaing more but im getting tired. If I remember i'll try to update. BTW for some reason something is stiil very very wrong about the whole thng and for whatever reason ive decided to investigate. If anyone has found any new info or has knowledge of the full unedited chat log let me know.

I just have a problem with this being such a big deal a month after it happened. Why the publicity of it when the last offical news was the capture of the dealer on the 7th. I mean they updated the site with the log yesterday and today. And most forums where this is posted on are also recent. If so many ppl are talking about his now how come no one talked about it back then?

I am sorry that a human life was taken, but I do not feel wrong for my lack of pity for the kid. First, I noticed a channel #drugs was referenced. I imagine this channel was something like #tokerz or #shroomhedz or something clever like that. He obviously came for advice on how to get more of a high off of his shrooms. He knew what he was doing. I watched Dragnet once and they mentioned "bad trips". This guy had a bad trip and it drove him batty. Whether or not PCP was involved, had he not done drugs, it would not have happened.

For those upset over the chat room's behavior, let me make something clear. #AGN is on a decent network and the channel itself is relatively safe. However, if Tatooine is the armpit of the universe, most IRC networks are the bloody toilet paper of a prison rape victim. Drugs, child porn, rape videos, death videos, mp3s, you name it. It's like a bad city: there's safe parts, and parts where you shouldn't go if you have no business there. I have never, never, NEVER seen a channel on IRC in areas with channels like #drugs where I'd expect sympathetic people. The responses other people had were not surprising at all to me. Don't believe me? Look for channels made of combinations of words that form illegal vices on the undernet. I promise you will never be able to wash the stench from your body.

I actually have no remorse in saying I hope more people that do shrooms and hard, hallucinogenic drugs decide to get attention by killing themselves. It would make the world a safer place for me and you. This man attempted to kill someone. I don't give a flying flip whether it was shrooms, PCP, or the disembodied head of Thomas Jefferson that made him do it, there's numerous people out there that both A) have mental disabilities and B) do drugs. Blaming it on their mental state is folly. Would you give a man who thinks that blood is Kool-Aid shrooms?

Sheesh.
