I heard something on my radio about a baby born in Califronia in the last couple of days weighing 13 lbs and 13 oz. But I can't for my life find any sort of article to support this.

So what's the largest birthweight you know of?
And where can I find this information I heard about?

23 lbs.,12 oz.
The largest baby ever born, according to the 2003 Guiness Book of Records. The baby, born to Anna Bates in Seville, Ohio, on Jan. 19, 1879, died 11 hours later

Wouldn't that be akin to passing something the size of a large melon? Ouch!

...It's ALWAYS akin to passing something the size of a large melon. No matter how big or small the baby is!
