i broke my walk-man the other day (i foolishly took it with me in the hot tub & i told myself i wasn't gonna let it fall off the ledge but of course it did and so it wouldn't work but when it finally at least turned on, it would say "no disc" even when a disc was in there & the disc wouldn't spin. I checked out the lens, ignoring the "do not touch the lens" warning & i broke that too) so, i'm wondering where could i go to get my walk-man fixed & how much it would cost me--i'm hoping i could just get the piece inside replace (its like that black square thing that slides back & forth & it has (or it had) the lens on it that reads the data from the disc)

Might just be less costly to get a new one, buddy.

Or get an mp3 player, i have one, and it's the best investment I have ever made.

i have one too--its one that doesn't have discs though & it can only hold like 11 songs or whatever--but i know thats not what ya mean, or at least i don't think so--how much is a good mp3 player--they're the ones where you can play like 300 songs on a single cd, right? (how much are those?)

Look for a CD player that supports MP3 format. So you can listen to your audio CDs and play MP3s from a CD. I'm not sure how much they cost though. Possibly $30 or so.

I wasn't thinking. Lol. You'd still get a little jolt and ruin your Walkman, probably.

that is sooo great!

i listen to music either at my computer or on the road, so i dont own any portable music players... but yea a $30 discman with mp3 playback is way better than a 300-400 mp3 player...
