Idaho gets the same record high temps as the rest of the country. Here in Washington it's been in the high 80's and low 90's for the past month.... we're usually fairly mild.

Isn't that because you live so close to that mountain range?

No, it's because we're stuck between the mountains and the sea. The ocean keeps the weather warm, while the mountains keep the rainclouds hovering over us.

Yeah, I was actually sick today from heat exhaustion. I can't seem to stand out in warm temps without being slightly nauseated.

I was actually going to make a post about this when I saw it on Headline News ... 102 in Boise?? crappy.

for the record, we're getting the same damn heat wave. When it hits 115.2 in my backyard, that's a little too hot to handle. I came home from work tonight, and it is still 91 outside - and its 11pm... global warming? nah... i'd get better points for saying global frying...

Be glad you don't live in Missouri... Negative Double Digits in the winter and Triple Digits in the summer... every year... Such variety... We need some rain, it's been so hot for so long with no storms or anything... Watch... I'll say that and we'll get tornado's... Thats just the way missouri is...

Minus the tornadoes, I could go for something like that right about now. I live in Washington now as well, and cannot stand even 90 degree weather. Sorry daarkseid!

That's pronounced "misery", isn't it zfreak? Texas winters aren't cold by any means (albeit quite cool enough for my tastes), but the summers can be sweltering. It hasn't been too bad yet this summer though.

you're joking Geep. Texas winter cool? I miss good ol' Michigan weather. even if I was once sunburned and frostbitten in the same week...
I miss lake effect snow....

We had some very scary thundershowers here last night, but otherwise, the weather has just been high 80s/90s here in Massachusetts.

My statement was that Texas winters aren't cold by northern standards. Only mildly cool by my own standards (because I've never felt a Northern winter before.)
