I was bored today and I finally got my tripod from DP's crib. (His mom so hooked me up.) Anyways, I set up my digital camera on the tripod and made a small test animation using my Yoshimitsu figure. Here it is, 21 frames, a whole nothin' of a second long. A little choppy but it's my first animation. This took me an hour.

That's cool. You should try something more complicated, if you don't mind wasting hours of your life.

Hey, that's cool. How'd you make it a gif? I thought gifs could only handle up to 32 colors...

Only if by 32 you mean 256.

So if you took just an hour on it JJ then think how long it is just to make a 1/2 hour movie:eek:

Make it do something that loops well and make it your avatar.

Well, I would.

AHH!! IT"S GONNA KILL ME!!!

That's neat. I always wanted to do something like that. I've got enough time on my hands.

Maybe you could get the Paul figure from my mom too, and then you could do one of Paul kicking Yoshi's ass.... just like old times. ;)

Pretty cool though. I saw the pic before the text and thought, "What the... weird new movie or somethin'?" :thumbsup:

Or better yet, I could do one of Yoshi sidestepping one of Paul's slow-ass moves, and Rainbow Dropping the living snot out of him...just like old times. :thumbsup:

Yeah the longest part was downloading the pics off my camera because all my camera has is a serial port. :tongue:

Movie 2! (421k) {3.5 sec}

I could make them alot quicker if I could figure out a way to mass convert the jpg's to gif's...

PSP has a batch convert option, as does the freeware program Infranview.

Stop-motion animation is fun, but it takes patience. You can easily do it with an ordinary camcorder, just press the record button twice. You can do a lot with that technique. Also, if you have a webcam, there are freeware programs that you can use to make animation, be sure to look for "onion skinning" (it allows you to see the previous frame as a ghost image).

Those are cool man. I have never tryed thet, I don't a digital camera anyways. If I did, I would make a carboard building and make my two Rampage toys destroy it. I have Boris and Ruby from World Tour.
