Won't open

I have zquest beta 182 for DOS and it won't open. I have no clue why. Any suggestions?

First I try to open the program, it loads everything like it usually does but then it doesn't go into the window. It's supposed to go full screen but doesn't. I check in the taskbar and doesn't open. I suspect that it cannot load something but it doesn't let me check as it closes too soon. This happens on Zelda version 1.92 and my original zquest and the other programs that came with it. Currently I am playing quests on Zelda version 1.90 because that is the only one that works.

It would be easier for us to help you if you described your problem a little more, i.e. what happens when you try to open beta 182, what operating system, etc.

If you can, I'd try switching to the windows version. I used to use the DOS program until a lot of things weren't working correctly, so I switched to the windows version, which worked fine.

I saw that it said loading allegro then loading zgp.dat, then it closed. I have no clue why. My other ones freeze but zelda classic 1.92 and zquest 1.92 beta 182 just close.

I found out what the error is but don't know how to fix it. I found the log that says what isn't loading.

zgp.dat probably hasn't been unzipped from the support archive.. try downloading the support archive from a thread located in the ZC Discussion forums titled "Click here for all your ZC Downloading needs"

That did it but now zquest doesn't load right. It does what's been happening to my other games. It starts to look weird.
