Originally spoken by John Lennon:
"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock 'n' roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me."

*Cue the music*

I could move to Hollywood
get my teeth capped I know I could
be a big star on the silver screen
just like James Dean I could be a star
I could climb the corporate ladder
buy, sell, and liquidate
Maybe be just like the Beatles
melodic, rocking heavyweights
I could learn to sing and dance
if I only had a chance
I could be a big rock star

I could be anything I wanted to
I wanted to
I could be anything but one thing's true

Never gonna be as big as Jesus
never gonna hold the world in my hand
never gonna be as big as Jesus
never gonna build a promised land
but that's alright okay with me

I could build a tower to heaven
get on top and touch the sky
I could write a million songs
all designed to glorify
I could be about as good
good as any human could
but that won't get me by

I could be anything I wanted to
I wanted to
I could do anything but one thing's true

Never gonna be as big as Jesus
never gonna hold the world in my hand
never gonna be as big as Jesus
never gonna build a promised land
but that's alright okay with me

I like that song very much. And Christianity is still going strong. Well after the Beatle's hey-day..

I am wondering, however, if this ought not go into Religious Debate.. Perhaps it's general enough to stay though, what do I know?

Odd....

I just listened to that song for the first time in well over a year last night.

AA was my favorite band when their Bloom album came out.

I have "Some Kind Of Zombie" which is a pretty good album.

I just started to get into Audio A a few months ago after I saw them in concert in Missouri... this song is one that I had heard about ten years ago as a kid...

Yeah, it was on their second released album.

I saw them on accident a couple years ago. I went to a Third Day concert, but the drummer had his appendix flare up (go figure) so AA just happened to be near by and filled in for them feat. T-Bone. It was a pretty sweet way to make up for the disappointment.
