Newb help: Can't play created quest?

I have started learning about the Zelda quest program and have created my first grid complete with a door, person inside, an item, and a start point for Link. I wanted to test it out to see if I have done things correctly by using the player, but when I start it up it immediately starts the orginal Zelda quest. I thought there was supposed to be chance for me to load up my own personal quest?

Input your name like normal, then press 'a'. Press it again to bring up a box to load up your quest. Make sure you remember what your quest directory is.
