Me too, I got a laptop with those specs this weekend.

I went to the mall with my dad and brother so my brother could get the new Harry Potter book. My dad said we should check out Best Buy because I was looking for a new computer for college. I figured I would just see what was there, but the guy was such a good salesperson that he got me to buy it. I don't have it hooked up to our network because I need a new cable to plug it in to the router.

It was around 1,400 but with the service plans and other extras it went up to 2,000!

Service plans are generally overpriced, considering the bathtub curve of typical electronic gadget failure rates. Either it will break right away, when it's under warranty, or it will last longer than it remains useful.
