Enemies Return

Under screen flags I have the enemies return flag checked, but in the game they do no return when I exit/enter the room. I can't think of any other details that would help.

I never understood this myself, it doesn't work on bosses and the others return anyway....
so what's the point.

The point is that in this room Link has a certain amount time to kill the enemies before he has to exit/enter and try again. Sorry, I'm not sure I understand all of what you're trying to say.
