In another room in my dungeon I have a boomerang trigger. How do I make it so that Link can hit it once to activate it, and then he can hit it again to deactivate it?

I have an idea for this.

Set the secret combo for the boomerang switch to be the exact same combo, and make sure it has a tier 2 boomerang flag. That sets up your repeating switch.

Now set up your secret combos with linked tier 2 flags, such that they flip-flop with every secret..

Like this..

Combo A (Block Dn) has Flag #16 on it.
Combo B (Block Up) has Flag #17 on it.
Secret Combo #0 (flag 16's) is Combo B with Flag #17
Secret Combo #1 (flag 17's) is Combo A with Flag #16

An alternative if you want the Boomeranf triggers to alternate.

Boomerang Secret is Combo C with flag #18.
Secret Combo #2 (flag 18's) is the Boomerang Combo with Boomerang flag.

...that does work. However, the problem is the boomerang will continue to hit the trigger over and over again so long as it is within the trigger's range. At least that's how it is for sword triggers - it might be that the boomerang bounces off the flag quickly enough that it only hits it once. So give it a try and let me know how it works out.

It works, thanks guys.

If you hit the switch straight on the boomerang bounces back without a problem.

If you throw the boomerang past the switch, then move so that the return path of the boomerang hits the switch, the switch will go on and off repeatedly.
