I've looked at a couple tutorials, but they don't say how the hell you play the quests!
In zelda.exe I only have the following options:
- Continue
- Quit
- Reset
- Exit

WTF? How do I load a quest and play it?
Thanks in advance.

It's quite simple. When you first start zelda.exe, you see a fire scene, then just click on your mouse & you will see Misc. Go to Misc, then click on Quest Directory. Double click on the ..., then just select the directory of your quest. Then go register your name & then you can play a quest. Press the left [Alt] key will lead you to a custom quest, then just follow the prompts & you will soon be playing your first custom quest. Do take note all quests have the *.qst extension.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks so much for the prompt reply! :)
That was very simple. I just didn't know you could press A at the quest screen, lol. Does this mean there can only be three saved games for all quests, custom or otherwise? :(

You're welcome.

You can have up to 15 saved quests of any time.
You can register, copy, delete quests.

How, when there's only three slots?

when you register more than three there will be a scroll thingy so you can press left or right to switch to more than three

Cool, thanks. Now does anyone know why I can't get zquest running?
It says "Allocating data buffers... Error"
And that's it.

In other words, when you register a fourth file, you'll get three more slots to use, until you have 15 saves total. You'll then be shown the number of saves you have, and you can then scroll then the whole thing by pressing left and right.:p

How much RAM do you have? ZQuest requires quite a bit to run.

It was working before, but then I upgraded to the beta version, and now it won't work no matter what version I use.

i think you need allegro41.dll or something like that it should be in the same place where you downloaded new version

I'm using the dos version. The file I downloaded for the windows version didn't have the dll even though it was supposed to.
And the dos version worked before.
On a side note, I think I clicked the wrong link when I tried to go back to version 1.90. I'm downloading it again to make sure. It should work since it worked before.

[Edit: typo]

Oh. Beta versions need more RAM to run, I think around 60 something.

Who are you talking to?

Although I'm sure that a data buffer error leads to RAM needs. That's one of the reasons I upgraded my computer.

Hm, I don't think I know you, and I doubt you'd know me from my screen name. Perhaps someone else uses a similar (hopefully not identical) screen name. Where might I know you from?

Well, I went back to version 1.90 and now I remember the reason I upgraded, lol. It runs, but when I click Quest > Tiles, it crashes.

[Edit]

Not sure why, but originally, it ran fine, but it kept crashing (illegal op) when I tried to open a certain file with it, so I rebooted, and now I can't go to the tiles section without it crashing with the following message:
