View Full Version : Pit warp placing link in wrong position

I have a pit warp set up in a cave room where it takes link back to the beginning room, but it places him at the upper half of the room.
I have both the green and blue blocks placed at the doorway which the warp is not seeing for some reason.
it's set in "tile warp" with "zap" affects.

The room it takes him back to has a message string which then causes him to be stuck in the upper part of the room.

It seems to land him pretty close to the same spot he fell into the pit in the secondary room.

is there any way to get pit warps to land link where he should be in the room?

Use a stair warp. Pit warps are designed to ignore the blue and green squares and keep Link in the exact same position. This is so that you can simulate pits that drop you down to the next level below.

that isn't going to work here.
a conveyor pushes link into the pit and using a "stair" causes it to hold him on the edge, which he can then escape by walking around the edge.

guess i'll have to try something else.

have the pit warp, warp you to a blank screen full of stair tiles then you warp to the screen you want...
