Questions about installation

I've found two separate versions of Zelda Classic 1.90 available for download -- a 3.28 MB zip file containing a 3.47 MB executable, and a 2.72 MB .exe.

They both say that they're going to put a shortcut to some website on my desktop and offer to change my browser startup page. In addition, the .zip threatens to 'modify my browser search button to work faster' or something.

Is this normal? Is there a version that doesn't do this sort of thing? And which of these is the 'official' version?

I don't know, really. Maybe you should PM one of the Zelda Classic Moderators, like VEL, or Cloral. I'm sure that they know.
