I try to load some midis, but an error occurs. Why is that?

ZC just doesn't like certain midis. Unfortunately, this means that you're going to have to try another.

Which midi was it? I know that there are a few that just don't work. :shrug: If you can tell us which one didn't work, we may be able to supply you with a potentially better substitute! :D

Tikal's theme from Sonic Adventure is one. I downloaded it from vgmusic, but it won't load.

Unfortunately I don't think there is any way around this until the improve the program itself, so you will have to find another arrangement of the midi. Shouldn't be hard.

That happened to me before too. I tried to upload a Venus Lighthous MIDI into ZQuest, and it said error. Maybe it's something with the instruments used?

I found out something interesting when playing with a Kirby 64 MIDI that won't load. ZC spits out any MIDI that has 21+ tracks in it. 20 is ok, but 21 and over just makes the little button say 'Oh Darn' :D

That's interesting. I wonder if this is an inherent limitation from Allegro, or something to do with the way MIDIs are stored by ZQuest?

Well, what you could do is find another midi version of the song....there should be several out on vgmusic.
That shouldn't be too hard......or like everyone else said....perhaps find a better midi! It's always possible.

They did have another, but that refuses to load, too! I need it for my quest. It's mandatory!

I loaded a Venus Lighthouse Midi and it worked fine....
