Okay, maybe you guys can help me out. I'm looking for a reasonably high-end laptop (2.2-2.4 ghz, 512 MB RAM, 40 gig HD, 15-in display) in the $1400-1600 price range.

And to tell you the truth, I'm lost! This is my first time buying a computer and I'd like someone to point me in the right direction (like give me a company to look out for or a site to watch). Thanks in advance!
