How can a map that I JUST exported be an invalid version? I need to know because it's starting to p*** me off

what vir. are you using? are you trying to export the map so you can make a map on FCF's Map maker? what?

1.92 beta 182 and i'm trying to export then reimport the map to a different one so I can make complete copies of my levels for Ganon's tower in my quest.

In that case...the first thing to do would be to try re-exporting the map, to see if it was a one-time glitch...but it soulnds like you may have tried that already.

If it happens consistently, make sure you report it in the bug forum. I know freshly exported graphics packs were invalid in b152 or b163...it's possible something similar is happening with the b182 map export/import feature.
