Golden Sun 2 password question

I can't figure out how to get the password from golden sun 1. I just got GS2. It is probrably in the instructions, but my mom threw them away.

Hold R and left on d-Pad, then hit B button, and keep on holding left and R.

hold <-- and R, then press start. there should be a 4th option, send. took me a while to get it right.
and yeah, the password's a bitch. your best off borrowing another GBA and a link cable. failing that, borrow just the other GBA and copy directly from one to the other. you don't want to right it down and then copy that...
