Damn, how can you play that thing? Just get a GBA--you can play those old games with it.

I still have my old grey Gameboy, however, I don't normally use it anymore because the screen blurs horribly when things move around on it, the plastic screen cover is scratched all over, and of course, it requires 4 double As just for 8 hours of play.

Its just much better to at least use a Gameboy Color. Fewer batteries required and screen is crystal clear.

I can't go back to the blurry graphics. If I owned the classic Game Boy again, I'd just be a showpiece.

Super Mario Land 2, a GB classic.

Hey, Super Mario Land 1 was plenty good...it was my second GB game (besides Tetris), and it kicked a whole lot of ass.

Why would you want an original GB? They are shitty. Ugly ass yellow screen.. they aren't even full greyscale. Not to mention they were huge compared to what we have now.. If you want a B&W gameboy (again, why?) get a GB Pocket. But ya, I don't get why you'd want an old one. I still have mine and never ever use it :P

I had both the original GB and GB Pocket, and I was trying to decide which to trade in...

Sure, the Pocket is actually black and white, and not 4 shades of green, and the screen area is a bit bigger, but it's really blurry compared to the original GB.

I wound up selling both, cause the GBC, with the black and white (check your manual to find the buttons you hold at the beginning during the Nintendo logo to get black and white - I think it's left and B, but I'm not sure) is far more crisp that the others. And you can play black and white, or 4 shades of green, and several other colors!

Personally I like my GBA SP just fine :D hehehehe.. frontlit screen, rechargable batteries, compact model that protects my screen from scratches (huge prob. I had w/ my original GBA). It's all good ;)

MA2 is the best one :) hehe.. I loved SMW. Although pure GB Mario games, if it counts, I liked Super Mario Land 3 ;) I mean, well, it was Wario, not Mario, but I thought it was much more fun :D SML2 was ok at the time, but it kind of blows now. It was cool back then b/c it actually had decent graphics for the GB (esp. compared to SML1). The play control and game in general tho were just wierd.. it didn't feel like the NES/SNES Mario games. I think it had wierd physics.

I never got the original GameBoy. I wanted to get it (for nogastlia(sp?) ), not to play. If I see it somewhere cheap(like 10 bucks at a flea market) I might get it. I have a GBP, GBC, and a GBA, so I'm happy.
