I want to play Zelda Classic on my computer. I Have a pentium 3 700Mhz. currently running windows XP. Should I get 1.90 or the 1.92 beta?

Chances are ZC 1.90 won't even run under XP, so go with the beta.

yes, go with the beta as 1.90 does not function with windows XP. I have an XP and if you even bother to try 1.90, which is what I did even before 1.92 was even out, then you're just gonna screw up your computer when trying to run zquest, which will make your computer freeze & stuff, forcing you to reboot. Click on the link at the top of this forum that includes the "FULL PUBLIC BETA" and download the windows version...it should work fine. Although there are a few minor bugs (like boss lock blocks don't work & some of the newer weapon flags don't always function appropriately), you can work around these things & nothing will really screw up your computer. The only thing I suggest not doing is going into the new menu "Quest-Graphics-Sprite-Link" because this menu is not completed yet & trying to use it will freeze zquest but other than that, nothin else should be of major concern...with this in mind, GOOD LUCK! ;)

What about the 182 build, will it work?

yeah, the betas keep getting more and more compatable with XP as they go along, so beta 182 would be your best bet ;)

Ok, then. Where would one go to get the 182 build?

I'd recomend against 182... Try 163. I've noticed it to be a bit more stable

Personally, I'd go for 182. There's not too many bugs. You should also get the 183 player to get rid of some bugs. The downloads are in the link in my sig that says "Go here.....";)
