Help: Problem with WinXP

All files seem to be set as read-only. I can't change the attribute because if I do it switches right back. It has been like this for a while, but I now have a reason to want to fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I don't know, that sounds pretty weird. Maybe you have a virus?

I don't know much about computers but you might try getting winzip It helped me Once.

WinZip won't do anything. It's an archiving program and I already have UltimateZip. My problem, once again, is with read-only files. Even if I create a new folder, it shows up as read-only.

It may be a virus, but the same thing happened my parents' computer and I just recently reinstalled WinXP on it. But I'll check a virus program just in case.
