You may have seen these at ZCN, but I'm posting them here too! Check'm out! These are entirely custom-made, and aren't from any video game.

Lurking in the Shadows (This is one damn dark cave) (http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.angelfire.com/clone/theeye/Lurking_in_the_Shadows.MID)

Pirate Ship (ARRRR!) (http://www.angelfire.com/clone/theeye/Pirate_Ship.MID)

Mountains (How high can YOU climb?) (http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.angelfire.com/clone/theeye/Mountain.MID)

The Lake of Magma (HOT! HOT! HOT! LAVA BURNS!!!!!) (http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.angelfire.com/clone/theeye/Volcano.MID)

SysErr, really good job with this one.

Hey, can you make a midi of nature sounds? Specifically, the music from the hill on Majora's Mask? (Yes, I know that it had no music, but if it did, you could make it?)

Not bad.... better than I could do... but they are a little too repetitive... but other than that.... nice.....

Say I have a request.... could you make a forest theme... not jumpy and not creepy.... I would appreciate it....

Nature sounds is easy. I'll also try to make a forest tune.

The songs screw up when I put them on my quest. Does anyone know why? It shows the time as something like 3819bhf93:193289

I think it's just the slight problem of zquest not liking the way the track in the files are set up, because they seem to be different lengths. plays fine for me.

I'm not saying I could do better, but.. As I thought when I first heard these.. Midi must suck in the year 30000.

They sound horrid on my system, and I have a rather high end sound card.

Maybe the rest of you just have low qualifications.

It's not that they sound bad based on your card. They sound trashy to me too, and I think it's just got to do with how he put it together.

KRY: The program I use to make MIDIs does that for some reason. Just ignore it. Nothing bad happens.

I knew you'd say that. You really hate me, huh?

Actually, the real problem is that different sound cards have different sounds for different notes. Sometimes, some notes may not even exist on certain sound cards. I have a great sound card. They may not sound good on yours because it may not match up well with mine. It's weird and hard to explain.

each card has it's own sounds is right. to make it easier to understand, take how zc has it's own sfx.dat file, it works the same way with sound cards, just you need a really fancy sound card if you ever want to change them.

Yeah. For example, on my sound card, a certain FF9 Boss battle MIDI sounds EXACTLY like the game's music. However, on the one at my school, it sounds a little weirder and not exactly like the game's music. :-/

mine too. i've tried that same midi, and it ain't worth a crap with a really cheap sound card.(maybe costed around $10). all i know is a lot of the instruments sounded like they were dead, let alone in directmusic producer, which uses it's own set of instruments. for example, listen to the music from an ice cream truck with a speaker that ain't no good. that's how mine used to sound, but now i've also got a fancy card, and it's much better.

System Error? What program did you use to make your own custom midi's?

I personally use Quartz Audio Master. The only real problem is you need to use your Keyboard like a MIDI keyboard. Oh, and Blankboard, here's your Forest music.

When quartz audio master completely downloaded, When I opened up the setup, It gave me a bogus mesage "This file is not the correct size or it is corrupted" What's the problem?

It works for me. What OS do you use? And where did you get it from?
