Mirror Shield question

What does it block that the Magic Shield can't? I will use it for my quest if it's worthwhile.

Oh, and can Like Likes eat it?

Well, fire from gohma 4's and gleeok 2's, it reflects back magic at it's caster and it can't be eaten by like=likes. Hmm, just though of somthing for LA: Let Like-like eat shield and you get a free heart piece or pice of power. It might work.

Like Likes can't eat it...it blocks all the same things, but it reflects back magic and blockable fireball attacks.

Actually, it does block one thing that the Magic shield can't - streams of fire (as Jiggly pointed out above). It is virtually required equipment if the player is to have any hope of beating a Gleeock2 without lots of other strong equipement.

On a related note about the like-like, in Link's Awakining I have found the value that when you get your shield eaten, and you kill the like-like, what sprite is dropped. The default is sprite 31, or the shield but you could set it to anything, even bosses!

also: it reflects magic from the "wizzrobe-mirror" enemy, which can only be defeated by reflected magic; thus, in order to beat these enemies, you must have the mirror shield

Actually, Mirrorrobes can be killed by any type of reflected magic, just as long as the magic has touched a mirror of any kind at least once, it hurts it.

Very true, but it requires a real fancy room setup to kill a mirrorobe without a mirror shield, and even then it might be next to impossible.

Well, you could lure the Mirrorrobe into kamakazing. :shrug:
